Who We Are
The idea for Storyt emerged from a simple but frustrating truth: publishing is a painful process for authors.
Back in 2014, I was searching for a publisher for my first book. Google became my only resource, and I found myself sending proposals to dozens of publishers. Every follow-up required individual emails to each one.
When I sought publishers for my second book in 2017, the same inefficient process repeated itself—a time-consuming ordeal that drained my energy and motivation to write.
Now, working in marketing, I witness countless authors experiencing the same frustration. The process to find publishers remains fundamentally unchanged. There's still no centralised, transparent platform where authors can meaningfully search and connect with publishers.
My husband and I recognised that the publishing industry continues operating in silos—scattered across emails, forms, DMs, and networking groups. That's when Storyt was born—a platform designed to organise discovery, streamline submissions, and ultimately make publishing more accessible, efficient, and equitable for everyone involved.
